Right now a lot is happening in the world as it relates to this pandemic. Here in Michigan we have a few confirmed cases and the stores are running out of cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and other things. While I am not afraid of this from my own personal health standpoint I am worried financially as I am someone who works in sales. I worry about the economic impact of it all and I am sure some of you feel the same way. One thing that I also have some concerns about is my in person gaming as well. I play or run a few games in person right now. There is a real concern about upcoming gaming conventions like GenCon, GrandCon, and Nerdarchy the Convention as well

Reviewing Ancestral Weapons A DMs Guild Product For Dungeons and Dragons 5e

I have had this PDF on my computer for a little bit now. Been meaning to dig into it and see if it is as good as I anticipated. Now someone was very critical of the product shortly after I got this. It sort of made me worried to download and review it but after doing so I wish I had never seen that persons thoughts. This product has some fun things in it. While I do have some criticisms I think the good outweighs the negative. In this I will review each section in order and then give my final thoughts at the end.

Obstacles Trying A New Game System

I did a poll on my Twitter and had quite a few responses. The question was Do you find it hard to try a new RPG system? If yes what do you think is the biggest obstacle for you? The results were pretty close to even. 49% said yes and 51% said no with over 150 people polled.

Pay To Play DMs... What About Pay To Play Players?

This has been an ongoing debate for years. Many blogs, and news sites have discussed this. There are 3 camps on this it seems. There are the ones who are completely against it for various reasons. There are the people who think it makes sense to pay someone for the service to run games for a complete stranger and there are those who are indifferent because it has no bearing on them. There are many arguments both for and against paying a dungeon master but not many have discussed pay to play players. Lets try to look at all viewpoints for paying a DM and or Players.

Master the Game 1st Annual Adventurer Gauntlet

I will be running my first annual Adventurer Gauntlet at GrandCon 2019. This is an idea I have had for a little bit. The game will be streamed on the Master the Game YouTube Channel.
